New future, more choices
The northern Melbourne region is a cohesive
community in which newly migrants and refugees from culturally and
linguistically diverse backgrounds experience community life,
learning and transition to employment as positive, effective and
inclusive.
Mission
The Northern AMEP Consortium seeks to assist newly
arrived migrants and refugees to successfully settle in Australia
through the integrated provision of English language programs,
related support services and community participation opportunities
across the northern Melbourne region.
Strategic Directions
- To develop and maintain supportive learning environments in
both the vocational education and community education sectors.
- To strengthen employment and further education pathways for
AMEP clients.
- To effectively support and respond to the settlement needs of
AMEP clients.
- To maximise access to AMEP services amongst eligible
clients.
- To build effective relationships with local community and
ethno-specific groups.
